Sermorelin & Ipamorelin Peptide Blend Research

Combinatorial research in Sermorelin & Ipamorelin peptides indicates the synergistic potential to induce maximal release of endogenous growth hormone. Sermorelin is a newly developed growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog. Sermorelin appears to act via a negative feedback mechanism, indicating that production may be automatically ceased in the case of excess. Ipamorelin is the most specific and targeted analog of ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue, according to recent studies.[1] Researchers note that “Ipamorelin is the first GHRP-receptor agonist with a selectivity for GH release similar to that displayed by GHRH. The specificity of Ipamorelin makes this compound a very interesting candidate for future … development.” It appears to be a selective peptide agonist of the ghrelin hormone. Its primary speculated action is the increase of circulating levels of growth hormone.

Sermorelin has been reported by researchers to exhibit potential action in various physiological systems. Research suggests that Sermorelin may potentially reduce seizure activity by activating GABA receptors.[2] Its speculated negative feedback mechanism of action may also position it as a research candidate in the context of growth disorder studies. The apparently targeted influence of Sermorelin may bring about improved growth hormone impacts on the cardiac muscles.[3] A study conducted in pigs suggested that the peptide may decrease cell death of cardiomyocytes, promoting tissue healing in post-cardiac injury, angiogenesis, and may also exhibit anti-inflammatory characteristics.[4] It has been suggested to reduce the scar size by increasing extracellular matrix production. Newer studies have also suggested improved diastolic function. Recent findings highlight the presence of a variant of the ghrelin receptor in cardiac tissues.[5] Researchers note that “Although the mechanisms underlying the effects of ghrelin on the cardiovascular system have not been fully elucidated, some evidence suggests that its beneficial effects are mediated through both direct actions on cardiovascular cells and regulation of autonomic nervous system activity.” The variant form has been suggested to regulate cardiac output. Therefore, ghrelin and ghrelin analogs may reduce the risk of cardiac arrhythmias and promote healing after cardiac injury.

Sermorelin & Ipamorelin peptide blends appear to have specific growth hormone-related characteristics. These are reported to be more pronounced in comparison with other classified growth hormone-releasing peptides. When introduced in combination, studies on both of these peptides suggest numerous synergistic activities, including possible increased bone density. Animal studies have suggested that in addition to cardiac function, Sermorelin may positively influence the central nervous system to improve sleep cycles. This potential of Sermorelin on the sleep cycle appears to be mediated via a production of orexin.[6] Orexin is considered to be a potent neurotransmitter in the sleep cycle.

Ipamorelin is another revolutionary discovery. It is not a hormone in itself. Instead, it appears to act by molecular mimicry of ghrelin, mainly triggering the pituitary gland to produce its natural growth hormones. Ipamorelin has been suggested to influence the growth hormone activities selectively. It is mainly studied for its potential to increase bone density and bone mass. Ipamorelin has also been commonly studied in HIV studies for its potential impact in immunity.
